Fuji legends Saheed Osupa and KS1 Malaika have been recognised by Guinness World Records after taking part in the largest orchestra ever assembled for an Afrobeats concert
Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement on Tuesday, revealing that the record was set by Dapper Live & Artists during Trench Symphony:
The Dapper Live Experience, held at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos on December 16, 2025. The performance featured 85 musicians performing together under the direction of a conductor.
Announcing the record on X, Guinness World Records wrote:
“Largest orchestra for an Afrobeats concert – 85 musicians by Dapper Live & Artists @DapperMusicEnt_. This attempt took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria in December 2025 and was staged as a live orchestral performance based on an Afrobeats composition.
“Led by a conductor, the concert featured a lead singer, an accompanying choir, dancers, and 85 musicians performing in coordination. The event showcased how Afrobeats and orchestral music can seamlessly blend.”
The record-breaking concert featured performances from T.I Blaze, Rybeena, Bhadboi OML, Kashcoming, TML Vibez, Lasmid, Heis Cazulee and Dwillsharmony, alongside Fuji icons Saheed Osupa and KS1 Malaika.
Before the official confirmation from Guinness World Records, Dapper Live & Artists had announced on Instagram that the performance had been reviewed and verified by the global record-keeping organisation, describing the event as a groundbreaking fusion of Afrobeats, Fuji and orchestral music.
