Former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has been arrested by the French police as part of an investigation into an alleged money laundering network linked to a notorious criminal known as “Baby Boar”
According to French media reports, the 39-year-old was questioned for about 10 hours by officers from France’s financial investigative unit, BRIF. He has not been charged and is not reported to be facing any further legal proceedings.

Now a television pundit for Canal+ in France, Nasri was reportedly questioned in connection with a wider judicial investigation into alleged drvg trafficking and money laundering.
The investigation is said to centre on a nightclub called XS in Ivry-sur-Seine, southern Paris, where Nasri bought a stake in 2016.
Authorities are also investigating Karim Berrebouh, a Marseille-based convicted drvg dealer nicknamed “Baby Boar,” who has been in prison since 2021 and is believed to have known Nasri from childhood.
Reports claim Nasri invested in the nightclub while he was still a Manchester City player, alongside another individual who was also reportedly arrested this week.
Investigators are focusing on activities between 2021 and 2023, during which Berrebouh’s wife allegedly visited the nightclub and collected cash.
During questioning, Nasri reportedly told investigators that he believed he had already sold his entire stake in the nightclub to Berrebouh through an informal verbal agreement.
Nasri joined Arsenal from Marseille in 2008 before moving to Manchester City, where he won two Premier League titles before leaving the club.
