The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has signed the 2025 appropriation bill passed by the State House of Assembly into law
Making this known was The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Gboyega Akosile.
Taking to his X handle, Akosile wrote, “Breaking: Lagos State Governor @jidesanwoolu
today signs the 2025 Appropriation bill to Law. The budget size is N3.366 trillion meant for the continuation of the great works of the Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat administration.”
The House of Assembly had on Monday, approved a budget of N3.37 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year, injecting an additional N360.88 billion into Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s initial proposal.
The approval, granted during Monday’s plenary session had followed the presentation of the budget report by Sa’ad Olumoh, chairman of the joint committee on appropriation and finance.
The lawmakers unanimously adopted the report through a voice vote, presided over by Speaker Rt. Mudashiru Obasa.
The budget allocates N1.3 trillion for recurrent expenditure and N2.07 trillion for capital projects, with the financial year ending on 31st December 2025.
