Saraki, Ekweremadu Arrive In Court For Forgery Trial

The Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and his Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, have arrived in court ahead of the commencement of their trial over alleged forgery of the Senate Standing Order.

The Senate Standing Order is said to have been forged by Saraki, Ekweremadu and others in the bid to inaugurate the 8th Assembly last year. This was also used for the election that produced the Principal Officers of the Assembly.

Also in court is the former Clerk of the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa, who is also standing trial alongside Saraki and Ekweremadu.
