Saudi Arabia has officially announced the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon, signaling the end of Ramadan and the arrival of Eid al-Fitr

The announcement was made on Saturday, March 29, 2025, confirming that Eid celebrations will take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
The news was shared through Haramain’s official Facebook page, a prominent platform providing updates on Islamic events and announcements for the global Muslim community. The sighting of the crescent moon marks the beginning of the Islamic month of Shawwal, which follows the holy month of Ramadan.
With the confirmation of the moon sighting, Muslims in Saudi Arabia and many other countries that follow its moon-sighting declaration will observe Eid al-Fitr on Sunday. The occasion is a significant religious festival marking the end of a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection.
