The Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has jokingly urged the National Leader of the Nafiu Gombe-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and House of Representatives member, Leke Abejide, to remain in the opposition party and continue its internal struggles
Gbajabiamila made the remarks during a birthday celebration organised for the lawmaker, where he commended Abejide for what he described as his contributions that indirectly benefit the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He also advised the lawmaker to ignore calls from some APC members, including former governor Yahaya Bello, who have been encouraging him to defect to the ruling party.
In a light-hearted tone, he said:
“Don’t come to APC. Stay in ADC and scatter them. We like what you’re doing. Don’t mind former governor Yahaya Bello, who said you should join APC.
“No, no, no, stay in ADC and win your election. Also, bring Bala Gombe, and we’ll support him. Good luck in court.”
