Nigerian Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has addressed recent allegations regarding his personal life
A blogger had accused him of having multiple romantic relationships outside of his marriage, naming several individuals.
Akpabio referenced a previous statement he made to Senator Natasha Akpoti, which sparked online controversy and led to his wife receiving a large volume of calls.
He expressed surprise at the public interest in the matter and clarified that he is happily married to one wife.
Akpabio also apologized to Senator Akpoti if his previous statement had caused offense.
The Senate President’s response aims to set the record straight and maintain a positive public image.
