Nollywood actor, Jide Awobona has defended his senior colleague, Funke Akindele, after she was called out by late actress, Jumoke Aderounmu’s brother
Recall that Funke Akindele, was criticized by Jumoke’s brother for hypocrisy.
The brother of Jumoke dragged Funke shortly after she mourned her online.
Jide Awobona has now debunked the brother’s accusation, that Funke ignored his sister during her sick days.
According to Jide, Funke Akindele reached out to him to speak with the late Jumoke.
He wrote;
“I really don’t feel like saying anything about this but I need to let the world know that Aunty Funke called me to ask of Jumoke because she knows we were cool. She insisted I call her to be sure she was fine. I did, we spoke at length and I complained about her isolating herself. May her soul Rest In Peace and May God forgive us all.”
