Soludo appoints first female SSG in Anambra

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has named Mrs Chiamaka Nnake as the new Secretary to the State Government, marking a historic milestone as she becomes the first woman to occupy the role

Her appointment was confirmed in a statement issued on Monday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.

Nnake, a native of Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area, is a seasoned finance and public sector expert with over 13 years of experience spanning strategy, economic planning, and governance. Until her elevation, she served as Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, where she coordinated the planning and deployment of state resources to drive development initiatives.

She also held the position of chairperson at Solution Fun City Limited and contributed to several key government bodies, including the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, the Internal Revenue Service Board, and the Small Business Agency.

In her additional roles, she functions as Anambra’s Reform Champion for Ease of Doing Business and serves as the focal point for Social Investment Programmes, where she has championed policies aimed at fostering inclusive economic growth.
