A UN mission in South Sudan said some of the most disturbing
allegations focused on the abduction and sexual abuse of women and girls, some
of whom were reportedly burnt alive in their dwellings. The UN mission said
they have interviewed 115 victims and eyewitnesses in Unity state where South
Sudanese forces were involved in fighting against opposition fighters in April. They have also promised to bring those involved to book.
