Governors of the South-West are set to hold an emergency meeting in Ibadan on Monday to address pressing regional matters, with a focus on rising security challenges
The closed-door session will take place at the Governor’s Office in Agodi and is being hosted by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde. All six governors from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti states are expected to attend.

While full details remain undisclosed, sources indicate the meeting was convened urgently to tackle security threats, boost infrastructural development, and strengthen collaboration under the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN).
The governors are also expected to assess ongoing joint security initiatives, including the operations of the Amotekun Corps, with plans to enhance its capacity in response to emerging challenges.
