Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has accused former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of disrupting peaceful protests in Kano by hiring thugs.
Sowore, a former presidential candidate, took to X to allege that Ganduje, who is also the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), orchestrated the chaos.
In his tweet, Sowore wrote: “It was established that a former state governor wreaked mayhem in KANO yesterday. Gandollar, Chairman of @OfficialAPCNg, hired and brought thugs from outside the state, and his contingent was allowed by the @PoliceNG to move freely. #EndBadGovernaceInNigeria #RevolutionNow #DaysOfRage.”
Sowore’s accusations come amid ongoing unrest in Kano and other states, where the #10daysofrage protests have seen varying levels of violence.
