Rapper, Speed Darlington has called for a rematch after being defeated by street-hop singer Portable in a recent celebrity boxing match held at the Balmoral Events Centre in Lagos

In a passionate video shared on his Instagram page, Speed Darlington expressed deep frustration over the outcome, revealing that he was heartbroken by the defeat and the financial gain Portable walked away with.
“Portable, I want a rematch. It dey pain me say you go carry all that money dey go. It dey break my heart,” he said. “You have up to two experiences before me. I never entered ring before.”
Explaining his lack of fighting experience, the rapper added, “I did not come from poverty. I’m the only Nigerian I know in New York that went to private art school. We no dey snatch food from anybody, so I never needed to learn how to fight.”
Speed Darlington went on to say that his shoulder injury during the fight affected his performance. “My shoulder fucked me up. I no dey do gragra. For America, we no dey fight, we just shoot. That’s why I looked like a loser.”
Despite the loss, Speed Darlington said he has now realized the importance of knowing how to fight and vowed to undergo proper training. “I need at least 30 days of training every other day, 15 sessions. And then I go do my own juju. After months of training and juju, I go rearrange your face.”
He also stated he wants to use his potential winnings for a good cause. “If they pay me, I want to build swimming pool for my villagers.”
Although he clarified that the rematch wouldn’t happen immediately—“No be this month, not next month, maybe in two months’ time”—he emphasized that he’s determined to return stronger and better prepared.
“If I’m worried about you, will I be asking for rematch?” he asked. “Rematch, Portable. Rematch!”
Portable has yet to respond to the call for a rematch.
