Nigerian musician Speed Darlington has expressed shock and anger after reportedly being charged ₦203,500 for parking his car at an airport for four days.
He described the experience as overwhelming and unexpectedly expensive.
According to him, he had chosen to drive his own car to avoid paying for repeated taxi trips to the airport, but returned to a much higher bill than he anticipated.
He said:
“Unexpected expense. It pains me deeply. I was tired of paying taxi to the airport, so I decided to drive my own car there. Suddenly, I travelled for four days, and when I came back, I thought the parking fee would be either ₦70k or ₦50k.
They collected ₦203,500 from me for parking for four days, bro. It will not be w£ll for Tinubu. Nigeria is now very expensive. They took my food money from me. I was shocked. I stood there, I stood there, I didn’t know what to do. Nigeria is h£ll fire. ₦50k a night? Are we in Europe?”.
He further expressed frustration over what he described as the rising cost of living and the unexpected nature of the charges he faced upon return.
