Speed Darlington’s manager, Goski, has called it quits with the Nigerian singer after four years of working together.
The entertainer’s personal assistant said he had reached his limit after years of helping with bookings, finding opportunities and handling other responsibilities. He also accused Speed Darlington of taking his contributions for granted, particularly when it came to payment.
Explaining his decision to leave, Goski warned people against contacting him about the singer’s professional engagements.
In a post he shared, he said:
“I’m no longer with Speedy. Nobody should call me, nobody should involve me or text me about booking him or whatever it is”.
Goski claimed he played a major role in helping Speed Darlington connect with clients and influential people who could offer him work. He also recalled spending his own money while assisting the singer during his arrest, including making repeated trips to Abuja to help sort things out.
One of his biggest complaints was how much he received from a deal reportedly worth ₦30 million. Goski said the ₦250,000 he was paid did not reflect the work he had done to help secure opportunities for the singer.
“250,000, 0.75% out of 30 million. Not even one per cent. Not even one million,” he said.
He also claimed that Speed Darlington had previously agreed to give him six per cent from every job but later questioned the arrangement because they did not have a formal contract.
Goski said he often had to cover his own transport expenses, even while making travel arrangements for Speed Darlington and his assistant.
Looking back at the years they worked together, he questioned whether the absence of a written agreement justified the way he felt he had been treated.
“Even if I don’t have a contract with you, does it mean that you keep me like trash?
“I’m not with Speedy, and I’ll never be with him anymore,” he said.
