Spyro isn’t compromising on his values. The singer has said his Christian faith determines the kind of music, videos and collaborations he takes on, adding that he has strict rules for anyone working with him.
The singer said he has clear boundaries when it comes to working with other artists and appearing in music videos.
According to him, sm0king and nu.dity are things he does not allow in any project he is involved in.
“You can’t be in a video with me and you’re sm0king. That can’t happen. You can’t be in a video with me and you’re na.ked. That won’t happen. I have rules and regulations to working with people,” he said.
Spyro also said he turns down songs that do not align with his values.
“I can’t be on a song that is not clean, to start with,” he added.
The singer went on to recall working with fellow artist Shoday on their song *Sweet*. He said he reached out to Shoday after noticing the way the song was being promoted online.
“When I did “Sweet” with Shoday, Shoday was promoting it in some funny kind of way, and I called him. I said, ‘Shoday, give your life to Christ.’ And he said I should continue my own while he faces his,” Spyro said.
Despite Shoday’s response, Spyro said he believes everyone can eventually find their way to Christ.
“Even if he’s not with Christ, he’s coming to Christ. Until every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. That’s why I’m in this industry. It’s a gradual process,” he said.
