An Islamic group, Rahmat Islammiya Association of Nigeria,
yesterday during a press conference in Lagos, asked Nigerians to stop calling
Boko Haram an Islamic sect. According to the National chairman of the group,
Dr. Awelenjo Abdullahi, the terrorists’ ideals are not consistent with Islamic
teachings and Islam believes very much in education.
