So yesterday at a press conference is Abuja, Chief Okiro
warned Police officers on escort duties with Very Important Persons to desist
from carrying hand bags and engaging in other domestic duties for VIPs they are
attached to calling it an insult to the Police uniform and the Nigeria Police
Force as a whole.

Okiro also said the commission would henceforth arrest
police operatives on illegal escort duty, adding that its workers would soon be
deployed in airports and on the highways to apprehend errant policemen.
