The Lagos Police Command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, has appealed to Nigerians, especially the younger generation to please STOP challenging/ daring armed persons
Hindeyin made the appeal today on his X account.
He emphasized the consequences of gunfire, saying “a shot once fired can never be retrieved. and a life when lost can never be brought back.”
The advice comes in the wake of increasing incidents of misuse of firearms in the country.
He tweeted; “Ladies and gentlemen, especially the woke generation, for your safety, please STOP: challenging/daring an armed person to shoot, asking an armed person, in a daring manner, how many people he/she can kill, attempting to disarm an armed person.”
He also spoke about the irreversible consequences of gunfire thus; “A shot once fired can never be retrieved. A life once lost can never be brought back.”
