In a new development, the children of the late Alaafin of Oyo have issued a formal warning to former Queen Dami, urging her to refrain from making further public statements about their late father

This warning was conveyed through a written statement reportedly from the Office of the Alaafin of Oyo.
The letter, addressed to Damilola Sukurat Moshood, popularly known as Queen Dami, expressed displeasure over her public remarks in various interviews. While the family acknowledged the freedom of speech, they described her comments as increasingly disrespectful and harmful to the late monarch’s reputation.
The statement read in part:
“We hereby request that you cease making any further public statements involving our late father’s name or legacy. These comments are not only inaccurate but also unnecessary, especially considering your prior status and circumstances. You are no longer a part of the family or his legacy, and as such, we expect you to respect the boundaries of our family matters.”
The family emphasized the importance of preserving the dignity and legacy of the late monarch and cautioned that any further remarks tarnishing his memory or the family’s name would not be tolerated. They also reserved the right to take appropriate legal or reputational actions if necessary.
In conclusion, the children urged Queen Dami to pursue her endeavors without involving their father’s name in public discussions, expressing hope that she would respect the final warning.
