The Supreme Court has reaffirmed Hope Uzodimma’s victory in the Imo state governorship election, securing his second term as governor
On Friday, a five-member panel of the Supreme Court unanimously dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Samuel Anyawu, challenging Uzodimma’s win.
In a lead judgment delivered by Justice Mohammed Baba Idris, the court resolved all issues in favor of Uzodimma, declaring the appeal without merit and dismissing it.
This ruling solidifies Uzodimma’s position as the duly elected governor of Imo state for a second term.
