Fear spread across Ikire, a town in Osun State’s Irewole Local Government Area, on Sunday after the convoy of renowned Fuji artist Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma was attacked by suspected hoodlums

The incident, which occurred in broad daylight, saw the attackers pelting the convoy with stones and reportedly firing shots. Vehicles caught in the chaos—including a black Hummer Jeep and a white Hilux truck—were left visibly damaged, according to eyewitnesses.
While the extent of casualties remains uncertain, there have been no confirmed reports of injuries among Pasuma’s team.
A disturbing video circulating online captures the aftermath of the attack, with shouts and confusion in the background. In the clip, a distressed voice can be heard saying in Pidgin, “Kasala don burst for Ikire. They don attack us. They carry gun shoot us but God dey.”
Attempts to reach Pasuma or his management for a response proved unsuccessful as of press time.
The incident left residents shaken, briefly halting normal activities as shop owners and pedestrians scrambled for safety.
Pasuma was said to be in Osun for a scheduled performance, though specific details about his visit have yet to be confirmed.
As of now, the Osun State Police Command has not issued any official statement or confirmed any arrests related to the attack.
