Former Super Eagles left-back Taye Taiwo has been honored by French Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille with an induction into their Hall of Fame
Taiwo, who played for Marseille from 2005 to 2011, was a key figure in the club’s success, scoring 25 goals and providing 23 assists in 271 appearances.
Widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s finest left-backs, he earned 54 international caps between 2004 and 2011, scoring five goals.
At the club level, he had an illustrious career with top European sides, including AC Milan and Queens Park Rangers, before retiring in 2019.
Now 39 and settled in France, Taiwo’s Hall of Fame recognition cements his legacy as one of Marseille’s greatest players.
