Tears, wailing as Toba Ijaya is laid to rest

The Organising Secretary of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos State Council, Toba Ajiboye, popularly known as TOBA IJAYA has been laid to rest at his Fadeyi home this afternoon

Recall Toba was shot by suspected gvnmen last week Sunday.

The a.ttacked occurred at night while he was returning home from his childhood neighbourhood in Fadeyi.

The assailants intercepted his vehicle along the Ikorodu road axis and opened fire, leaving the car riddled with bullets.

As he was laid to rest, there were loud cries and wailing as crowd besieged his Fadeyi home to have a last glimpse of the NURTW chief.

Recall Lagos NURTW Chairman, Sego, also personally mourned him openly, saying he was a loyalist and a friend.

Mourning him on Facebook, Sego wrote;

“Comrade Toba Ajiboye, the Organising Secretary of the NURTW Lagos State Council, was more than an ally; he was a trusted friend, a man of steadfast loyalty and unwavering commitment, and a true pillar of TeamSego and SegoNation. His friendship, unwavering support, and selfless dedication to the union over the years will forever remain etched in my heart.”
