Temi Nkem has been crowned the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 11, bringing the “Show Ya Sef” edition to an end after 70 days in the house.
The 21-year-old was announced as the winner during the grand finale on Sunday, October 4, after making it through a season filled with tasks, nominations, evictions, friendships, relationships and several unexpected turns.
Temi finished ahead of Aikou and Sheba, who took the first and second runner-up positions respectively. She secured 25.87 per cent of the final votes, while Aikou received 23.68 per cent and Sheba got 9.80 per cent.
Her win also comes with a ₦160 million prize package. This includes ₦90 million in cash, a brand-new SUV and other sponsored prizes. The cash prize was reduced from the original ₦100 million after ₦10 million was set aside for the season’s Most Influential Player of the Week prize fund.
Temi was one of 24 housemates who entered the “Show Ya Sef” house at the start of the season. As the weeks went by, she remained part of the major moments in the house, from tasks and games to friendships, disagreements and the different twists introduced by Big Brother.
Her journey also included a fake eviction, after she was announced as evicted alongside Tram and Ricky during the ninth live show. Biggie later revealed that the eviction was not real, giving the three housemates another chance to continue in the competition.
There were also lighter moments along the way, including the now-remembered custard episode, while her involvement in the BB Bucks situation and her kiss with Tram became other notable parts of her time in the house.
By the final week, Temi had survived enough evictions to secure her place among the last nine housemates. Barry, Oyin, Ricky, Flora, Tram and Bluethopia were then evicted during the finale, leaving Temi, Aikou and Sheba as the final three. Sheba finished third before the result came down to Aikou and Temi.
When Temi’s name was finally called, the long run came to an end with her taking the crown.
Her victory also makes her the fifth female winner in Big Brother Naija history.
Congratulations once again to Temi Nkem, the winner of BBNaija Season 11, “Show Ya Sef” edition.
