Tems speaks on getting d3ath threats over rumoured pregnancy, working for Asake
Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Tems has revealed she got d3ath threats when she was recently ruoured to be pregnant.
Recall that Tems sparked pregnancy rumours after she was spotted at Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 London Fashion Week show.
She later denied it, but now she says she was threatened by it by her ”loved fans” who had thought Future was responsible for her big belly.
Speaking in a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, Tems made the bold revelation.
She also quickly added that despite them working together Future’s Grammy-winning song, ‘Wait For U’ alongside Drake, she had never met the American rapper.
She said: “When I heard [the rumours] that I was pregnant, I didn’t actually think anybody believed it. I didn’t know it was serious until I started getting messages like death threats, like, ‘How dare you? Of all the people in the world, Future, really?’ And I’ve never met him in my life. So it’s crazy.”
Tems also disclosed during the interview that she “would like to direct a video for Asake.”
She said: “I love him. I can tell that he is very artistic.”
She explained that her likeness for the YBNL star is “just for work, just to direct his [music] video.”
