Tems’s album ranks high on 2024 Billboard’s best R&B albums

Tems has achieved another milestone in her career, as her debut album “Born In The Wild” has been ranked among Billboard’s best R&B albums of 2024

This impressive feat solidifies Tems’ position as one of the most thriving African artistes globally.

Notably, Tems is the only African artiste on the prestigious list, which also features albums from renowned artists such as Chris Brown, Party Next Door, Muni Long, and Bryson Tiller.

Billboard praises Tems’ music, describing it as a fusion of diverse influences that cannot be confined to the Afrobeats genre.

Her songs, they note, have traveled far beyond the African continent, earning her millions of fans and notable awards.

Tems’ debut album “Born In The Wild” has been a commercial and critical success, reaching No. 5 on the Top R&B Albums chart and marking her career-first entry on the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 56.

The album has also earned Tems 2025 Grammy nominations for Best Global Music Album and Best African Music Performance.
