Terror!sts have k!lled dozens and razed seven villages in Kebbi State during attacks on Wednesday, police said Thursday.
The assaults, carried out by members of the Lakurawa group, targeted villages in the Bui district of the Arewa northern region at around 1:15 pm (1215 GMT), according to Kebbi State police spokesman Bashir Usman.

A security report seen by AFP indicated that the militants k!lled “more than 30 villagers.” Usman added, “Scores of people were k!lled as residents from Mamunu, Awasaka, Tungan Tsoho, Makangara, Kanzo, Gorun Naidal, and Dan Mai Ago mobilised to resist the attackers.”
A local resident from Kanzo told AFP that at least 35 people had died. “We were in our homes, we heard gunshots. People outside began to run into their shelters, gunshots hit some people,” he said.
Usman said the attackers also stole cattle during the raids. Police, soldiers, and local militia were immediately dispatched to the area to restore security.
