Music video director TG Omori has spoken about the health battle that kept him in hospital for more than six months in Ikoyi after his kidney failed.
According to the director, six people were willing to donate a kidney to him. However, after nine months of searching for a suitable donor, his brother eventually stepped forward.
Speaking on Afropolitan Podcast, Omori said his body initially rejected the transplanted kidney, forcing him to undergo another procedure.
He also explained that his brother will now have to live with just one kidney for the rest of his life.
He said:
“I was hospitalized for more than six months in Ikoyi after my kidney failed. Six people were willing to donate a kidney to me, but after nine months of searching, my brother eventually became the donor.
“My body initially rejected the transplanted kidney, which led to another procedure. My brother will now live with one kidney for the rest of his life.”
