The Aboderins will be having a big party starting from today in remembrance of their late dad, Chief Olu Aboderin, the founder of Punch Newspaper.
The celebration will start today, Feb. 28, 2014 in Ibadan, Oyo State where the
family will be commissioning a block of classrooms in his honour. A reception will also be held at Punch headquarters, KM 14, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway,
Magboro after the commissioning for about 3000 guests who will be wearing the
widely distributed Daviva Ankara prints for the special occasion. A grand party
will also be hosted by the family tomorrow, March 1, 2014 at Intercontinental
Hotel, Victoria Island, to round up the whole event. Chief Olu Aboderin died after a brief illness,
in London in 1984 at 50.
