The Beckhams might have got caught up in the terrifying 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Bali last weekend, but it looks as if the famous family landed on their feet after reportedly bagging a holiday on the nearby island of Sumba for free.
David, 43, wife Victoria, 44, and children, Brooklyn, 19, Romeo 15, Cruz 12, and Harper, seven, ended up staying at the the exclusive Nihi resort, which is often referred to as ‘The Best Hotel In The World’.
Sadly, many back in Bali were far less fortunate than David and Victoria’s brood, with 321 left dead following the horrifying quake.
The family took to Instagram to share a series of snaps of their holiday, having reportedly flown 450 miles away from the epicentre of the disaster zone in a private jet.
The Beckhams are said to have stayed in a plush four-bedroom villa with its own private pool, worth £5,000 a night.
The resort is not far from one of the best surfing beaches in the region, which David and his sons are said to have enjoyed while Victoria and daughter Harper pampered themselves in the spa.
A source told The Sun that despite showing off their luxury holiday on social media, the family had been thinking about the victims of the terrible tragedy.
“They certainly felt the earthquake,” the insider revealed.
“The children, especially, were a little bit shaken but they are all fine.
“Their thoughts are obviously with the victims.”
The source went on to admit that the family were “having a ball” during their break.
