Actress Scarlet Gomez has shared a cryptic message about being misunderstood, saying that being a good person does not always guarantee that others will see you for who you truly are.
In a post on her page, Gomez wrote:
“The biggest mistake I always make is thinking being a good person would guarantee that people will see you correctly (for who you are). IT DOESN’T!!!!! I’ve learned that the way people see you is personal (they will see what they want to see no matter what).
She added that some people deliberately tarnish another person’s image because “they couldn’t use you, control you, or break you.
People will believe stories about you without meeting you. Sometimes a lie repeated enough starts to feel like the truth even till it ruins all that you worked hard to build.”
Although she did not reveal what prompted the post or whether it was directed at anyone in particular, Gomez concluded by encouraging people to stay true to themselves.
“But U can’t control stories you didn’t write. So they either believe the rumors, or meet you. Either way, know who U are!!!! And that should be enough.”
