For Uriel Oputa, being over 30 does not mean a woman should rush into marriage just because people think it is time.
The TV reality star wants those constantly telling women to “go and get married” to take a good look at what dating actually looks like these days.
In her post, she wrote:
“DATING IN 2026TO EVERYONE SCREAMING AT WOMEN OVER 30 TO “GO AND GET MARRIED!” — HAVE YOU ACTUALLY SEEN THE DATING POOL?! NOBODY COMMUNICATES, NOBODY IS HONEST ABOUT INTENTIONS, AND EVERYBODY WANTS SOMETHING WITHOUT SAYING WHAT IT IS.ME? I KNOW MY WORTH. I’M NOT TAKING ON SOMEBODY’S SON JUST TO DEVELOP HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. MY BP IS A PEACEFUL 111/80 — PLEASE, I BEG YOU, LET IT REMAIN THAT WAY.THESE DAYS MARRIAGE IS NOT WORTH LOSING MY PEACE OVER. THE DATING POOL NEEDS JESUS, CHLORINE, AND A COMPLETE WATER CHANGE.”
Basically, Uriel would rather stay single than enter a relationship that comes with unnecessary stress. For her, marriage should not be something a woman gets into simply because she has reached a certain age or because everyone around her keeps asking when she will settle down.
And with her peace intact, she is clearly not in a hurry to change that.
