The former Minister of Education and convener of the
Bringbackourgirls group, Oby Ezekwesili has helped the newly sworn-in president
clarify one of the statements he made today, that Nigerians have jokingly taken
to mean something else. The president today during his inaugural speech had
said ‘I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody’, but so many Nigerians
online have been creating memes of it and attributing it also to husband and
wives in marriage. Some of them even went as far as making memes saying the
first lady has just been chilling and looking at the president. But Mrs
Ezekwesili deemed it fit to intervene and tell them it does not apply in a
