An X user, who is also a proud APC member has started a Chris Ngige ‘bait’ on X and people are loving it
Oguntoye Opeyemi (@Equityoyo) asked his followers to guess who an ex-office holder who said he was once a Governor just like the sitting president, Bola Tinubu, and was also a Senator just like the president, but he is now in prison.
His followers were quick to answer it’s Ngige as the alleged bait continued.
Oguntoye had asked;
”He was a Governor, I was a Governor, he was a Senator, I was a Senator.
”Now he is a President and I am a Prisoner.
”Who am I?”
And most people chorused Ngige…
A user even asked grok to explain what the bait is about, and grok gave this answer;
”Chris Ngige made this statement on December 12, 2025, during his arraignment at the FCT High Court in Abuja on eight counts of fraud and corruption by the EFCC. It was in response to bail discussions after pleading not guilty; he cited inability to meet conditions and health issues. The charges stem from alleged improper contract awards during his tenure as Labour Minister. He was remanded in Kuje prison pending bail hearing on December 16.”
