Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari has declared that there would be no shortfall in supply of petroleum products again this year

He gave the assurance on Wednesday at a meeting with the leadership of the Senate.

Mele Kyari told Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and other principal of the Senate that the oil giant has the capacity to guarantee steady supply of petrol till next January.

He said: “We have robust supply plants from now until next year; we have always planned for three months. And I guarantee you your Excellency that we will not see any shortages in our country.”

“You may see a number of scattered reports that of filling stations that people will call it queues. They are not.”

Kyari further revealed that the Port Harcourt refinery would come on stream in December, followed by the Warri refinery to start in the first quarter of 2024.
