“They only care about their pockets”- Orenze slams Yinka Alaseyori

Gospel singer Victoria Orenze has criticized fellow gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori over her recent comments on Nigeria’s insecurity and the role of prayer, accusing some ministers of using religion for personal gain.

Orenze, in a strongly worded statement shared online, expressed disappointment at what she described as “stomach Christianity” among some church leaders and believers who, according to her, speak on behalf of God while benefiting from political connections.

“Honestly I am disappointed in some ministers, church goers, who just use the name of the Lord for profit! Those who don’t hear GOD but yet want to speak on HIS behalf!” she said.

She further accused some religious figures of prioritizing personal interest over the welfare of Nigerians, stating that their support for government officials is influenced by what they gain.

“Whenever a few are benefitting from a government they say the government is working, because they don’t care about the good of the majority of Nigerians, they only care about their pockets and stomach!!!!” she added.

Orenze also strongly condemned what she described as hypocrisy and selfishness among those who claim to represent God.

“GOD CANNOT BE MOCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God does not support selfishness, wickedness, greed, pretense, hypocrites and all round evil,” she stated.

She further insisted that those who defend wrongdoing while claiming to represent God do not truly know Him.

“So anyone saying they know God and represent God and yet support evil and wickedness that person doesn’t know God at all!!! They are just seeking what they will eat! Stomach Christianity!” she said.

Orenze concluded her statement with a warning message to Nigerians, urging them to speak out while continuing to pray.

“We are extremely close to ENOUGH IS ENOUGH BUS STOP. We are praying and yet we will speak! NIGERIANS prepare for landing,” she added.
