Alpha Charles, a popular TikTok personality, has been granted bail by Justice Huda Haruna of the Magistrate Court No. 17 in Kano State
The bail was approved after she pleaded not guilty to defamation charges related to social media posts allegedly targeting Sadiya Haruna.
The court imposed strict conditions for her bail, requiring a surety who must be a blood relative and a high-ranking civil servant (Grade Level 16 or above). If Alpha Charles fails to appear in court, her surety will forfeit a substantial sum of N500,000.
Sadiya Haruna is reportedly the ex-wife of fellow TikTok star G-Fresh and has a connection to Alpha Charles through her ex-partner. The case has been adjourned for further hearing, leaving many to wonder about the outcome of this high-profile defamation case.
