TikTok influencer Immunizer has regained his freedom after spending four days in detention
He revealed that he was granted bail shortly after appearing in court but remained on remand until the bail process was completed.
He had been remanded over allegations of cyberbullying and online harassment linked to comments about the late singer Mohbad’s widow.
In a video shared after his release, Immunizer explained that he honoured a police invitation on June 22, where he was shown a petition filed by what he described as “a prominent name” in the Mohbad case.
He said he was detained after interrogation and taken to court the following day, where the judge immediately granted him bail.
“So, I just got out of prison tonight, Kirikiri, Lagos. And I’m making this video from my guy’s phone. Because my phone was taken away from me by the police at the station. They marked it as exhibit. And my business line is in the phone. I have to get a new phone.
“As you all know, I honored the police invitation on the 22nd of June, which was Monday. I got there. They showed me a petition that a prominent name in the Mohbad case that I’ve talked about. This person filed the petition. As I see the petition, I laugh.”
Immunizer added that he intends to address the rumours surrounding his arrest in detail after getting some rest.
“They interrogated me, detained me that day because they said they are taking me to court the next day. They took me to court. The judge sat, heard my case, and I was granted bail immediately. But the person that was supposed to undo my bail got greedy, made some mistakes. And, you know, Tuesday, I was remanded at Kirikiri prison. Wednesday, I was supposed to come out. But then today, my bail was perfected. And I’m out.”
“Well, I see that a lot of things are going on online. A lot of things have been said. Different rumors. Different perspectives. But don’t worry. I will address everything and set the record straight. And I actually have a fiction story that I would like to tell you. Guys, don’t worry. Let me rest. I will talk to you all tomorrow.”
