After sparking widespread outrage, popular TikToker Peller has issued a heartfelt public apology for his disparaging remarks about Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Runtown
During a recent livestream, Peller had infamously labeled Runtown an “up-and-coming artist,” implying the singer was not known and was successful.
The backlash was swift and intense, with fans and fellow artists condemning Peller’s disrespect toward Runtown, a highly accomplished musician with a storied career.
Recognizing his mistake, Peller took to livestreaming again, this time with his girlfriend Jarvis, to offer a sincere apology.
Peller acknowledged that his ignorance and youthful naivety had led him to underestimate Runtown’s impact on the music industry.
He explained that he was too young to fully appreciate Runtown’s dominance during his rise to fame. With humility and contrition, Peller pleaded for forgiveness, saying:
“When I was hearing Runtown’s music, I was too young… Please, forgive the poor boy. Let him breathe. God won’t shame us. I’m sorry, my brothers and sisters.”
