Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore disclosed the development on X, condemning the arrest as an attempt to silence critics of the Nigerian Police Force. He accused Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi of orchestrating the arrest under the pretext of cybercrime allegations.

Sowore called for Seaking’s immediate and unconditional release, warning against the misuse of cybercrime laws to intimidate Nigerians.

Seaking had previously been released from Kirikiri prison on January 6 after meeting bail conditions. He was initially arrested on December 20, 2024, and arraigned for alleged treason and cyberstalking over a viral TikTok video in which he criticized the police.
