The Federal Executive Council meeting previously scheduled for Monday has been postponed to a later date, yet to be announced
In its place, President Bola Tinubu will convene a meeting with security chiefs.
According to reports, some ministers had arrived for the meeting but were informed of the postponement due to the absence of key officials, including the President, Vice President, Chief of Staff, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
A minister confirmed the postponement, stating that the meeting will be rescheduled for a later date.
The original meeting was described as impromptu, with notice given only the previous night.
Presidency sources revealed that President Tinubu will meet with Service Chiefs at 2:00 pm to discuss the ongoing nationwide protests and other pressing matters.
The postponement comes as Nigerians, primarily youths, continue to protest against bad governance, with Monday marking the fifth day of the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations.
