President Bola Tinubu on Thursday swore in two newly appointed ministers, Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro and Mr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, during a brief ceremony at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja
The ceremony preceded the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting convened by the President.

Dr. Doro, a pharmacist and lawyer from Plateau State, takes over as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, replacing Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, who recently became National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). His appointment was confirmed by the Senate in late October.
Mr. Udeh, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) from Enugu State, fills the vacancy left by former Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, Uche Nnaji, who resigned amid certificate forgery allegations. Udeh’s nomination was confirmed by the Senate earlier on Thursday following a brief screening. Prior to this appointment, he served as Enugu State’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.
Following the swearing-in, President Tinubu immediately commenced the FEC meeting, which opened with a presentation on the state of the economy by Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun.

Other attendees included the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Esther Didi Walson-Jack; Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; ministers, and senior presidential advisers.
The meeting was ongoing at the time of this report.
