President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday paid a one-day working visit to Imo State, arriving at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, at 12:52 p.m
The visit focused on strengthening federal–state collaboration and showcasing key development projects executed under Governor Hope Uzodinma. Among the projects commissioned were the 60-kilometre dual carriage Owerri–Mbaise–Umuahia Federal Road, the Assumpta Flyover, and the 6,000-capacity Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre.

Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the President’s trip underscored how partnerships between federal and state governments can accelerate infrastructure renewal and economic growth.
The President also attended the public presentation of Governor Uzodinma’s book, A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria, which highlights the APC’s achievements in governance, infrastructure, education, and public services over the past ten years.
Other projects unveiled during the visit included the Imo Concorde Hilton Hotel and the state-of-the-art Imo Digital Learning Centre, reflecting the administration’s push for modernisation and innovation.
Tinubu’s engagement in Imo State reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustainable development and to leaving behind a legacy of progress replicable across Nigeria.
