President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has vowed to construct a new national secretariat for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja

Speaking at the 14th APC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Thursday, July 24, at the State House Conference Centre, Tinubu stressed the importance of establishing a more befitting headquarters for the ruling party.
“We’ll look for an appropriate land to build a befitting secretariat,” he said, though he did not disclose the estimated cost of the proposed project.
The APC currently operates from Muhammadu Buhari House, located at 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja. The property, named after former President Muhammadu Buhari, was reportedly acquired for ₦2.5 billion in 2021.
While the last NEC meeting was held at Buhari House, Thursday’s emergency session took place at the Presidential Villa—possibly signaling the need for a more spacious and functional location to host future party activities.
