Toke Makinwa is getting ready for a special Christmas – her first as a mom
The Nigerian media personality shared a video of her stunning Christmas decorations on Instagram, saying this year’s celebration is extra special because she’s experiencing it with her little one.
Toke is excited to start new family traditions and is looking forward to decorating with her daughter Yakira.
She’s even ordered ornaments from Yakira’s birth time, which she can’t wait to put up. “Yaya loves looking at the lights,” she said, adding that her daughter gets mesmerized by the decorations.

A very personal one for me,
It’s my first Christmas as a mom,
My daughter’s first Christmas,
New family tradition unlocked.
This year I wanted to do the decorations myself, taking it back to the family traditions we had growing up, can’t wait till Yaya starts running around and we can set it up together.
I ordered some ornaments from the time my daughter was born, and they came out just as pretty as I imagined. Yaya loves looking at the lights. She gets lost just looking at the decorations.
