Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tolanibaj has responded after being criticised online over her reaction to paying N107,000 to fill her car tank
A video on social media showed her at a filling station reacting in shock after a fuel attendant informed her that a full tank would cost N107,000.
In the clip, she expressed disbelief at the amount and questioned how Nigerians were coping with the rising cost of fuel.
“Like how are people surviving this fuel price? I don’t even buy fuel often and I can’t believe this,” she said, while also asking whether people still fill their tanks completely or settle for half tanks. The attendant replied that customers still buy full tanks.

She went on to say that the value of money in the country has dropped significantly, adding that what used to be N10,000 now feels like N100,000 due to the economic situation. Tolanibaj then requested the attendant’s account number to complete the payment before leaving.
Reacting on X, a user identified as Àshàké, who claimed to be a former fuel attendant, suggested she may have been overcharged.
“Lmaoooo Dem don cheat Tolani Baj for filling station,” the user wrote.
She further added: “As a former fuel attendant, @tolanibaj I can tell you for free that whoever sold that fuel to you cheated you, and it’s not small cheating.”
Tolanibaj fired back, dismissing the allegation and insisting she was not cheated. She wrote:
“I wasn’t cheated. I drive a GLE.”
