Hours after Tonto Dikeh shared a Mother’s Day post appreciating her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, some critics weren’t impressed
In the post, Tonto shared a clip of herself with her dog and praised Churchill for making her a mother, calling it “the most beautiful part of her story.”
She even sent wishes to Churchill’s mother.
Responding to the backlash, Tonto didn’t hold back:
“Doing too much? For the only man who has put a child in me? The world is truly a sick place, and I’m grateful I don’t let your opinions direct me.”
She also offered her perspective on joy, peace, and co-parenting:
“When e reach your turn, don’t thank them. How would you understand the meaning of joy/peace that makes no sense? How would you understand healthy co-parenting if I don’t show you all?”
