Nigerian media personality Toolz has voiced concerns over the volume and level of schoolwork assigned to her young sons.
In a post shared on Instagram, she expressed surprise at the complexity of the tasks, noting that they appear more demanding than she expected for their stage.
She wrote:
“#DearParents… can we please talk about the volume and level of schoolwork our children are bringing home? Because why does it feel like I’m back in Year 2… and more importantly, why is it a bit hard?!! My sons are out here designing and defending full science projects.
‘ I thought at this stage was colouring in and 2+2 until at least Year 3… clearly I’ve been misinformed.”
Her remarks are intended to highlight growing concerns among parents about the volume and difficulty of assignments given to young pupils, particularly at the foundational stage of their education.
