Up-and-coming Afrobeats singer, Mavo, has narrated a frightening encounter with suspected street touts in Lagos after refusing to hand over money
The artiste shared a video on his Snapchat page on Tuesday showing several young men, often described as “area boys,” crowding around his car in the Island axis of the state.
In the clip, one of the men aggressively hurled a stone at the vehicle.
According to the account, the situation started when the group demanded cash from him and became hostile after he turned them down.
The footage captured tense moments as the car attempted to move through the area, with loud shouting and objects being thrown.
In a subsequent update on Snapchat, Mavo hinted that some of those involved may have been caught, although there has been no independent confirmation of that claim.
